As you roll into the finish, you get a bit of vanilla and oak on the palate but not in the way. It then follows up with a pretty powerful blast of fruit like raisin, green apple, and lemon zest. Pretty hot for the low proof.įinish: Medium long, on the sides of the tongue. Mostly buying whisky for my collection that at this moment counts about 70 bottles of whiskeys from all over the world. It starts with a nice honey note that gives you a sweetness that you don’t always find in American whisky. A touch of something smokey, maybe just barrel char. Much more delicate on the palate than the nose suggests. Ethanol sting is present, making it hard to dig in too much. A very interesting combination altogether.
